remember that a contract should addresses the interests of both parties - its a creative thing, that formalizes expectations and agreements for both sides.

2) The Owner agrees to abide by and conform to all rules and regulations as determined and posted from time to time by the Stable. The Owner accepts full responsibility for the safety of any of his/her visitors and/or riders they may bring on to the Stable premises, and shall ensure that all visitors abide by the stable's posted rules and regulations. All riders, visiting or otherwise, must wear correct and proper headgear and footwear. All riders must sign a waiver before riding.
3) The Stable shall not be liable for any damage which may accrue from any cause arising out of, or as a result of, the boarding of the Horse(s) including, but not limited to, loss by fire, theft, running away, death, injury to person(s), horse(s) or property, except through gross negligence of the Stable, his/her agents, servants and employees.
4) The Horse and all tack and equipment of the Owner(s) shall be lodged at the Boarding Stable at the sole risk of the Owner(s), who assume all responsibility for the insuring of the Horse, tack and equipment owned by him or her.
5) The stable shall not be liable for any claim caused by said horse(s) and agrees to pay legal fees incurred by the Stable in defence of a claim from any damage by said horse(s). The Owner(s) must show proof of liability insurance.
6) Either party may terminate this Boarding Agreement by providing one month’s written notice to the other party, such notice to be given on the first day of the month. Any and all outstanding charges must be paid in full by the Owner(s) before the Horse may leave the Boarding Stable.
7) The Owner(s) understand that the Stable has a lien on the Horse(s) and a right to sell the Horse to secure payment for services provided by the Stable pursuant to the Innkeepers Act of Ontario, R.S.O. 1990, c. I. 7, as amended.
Acknowledgement of Agreement
I acknowledge that I have read and understood this Boarding contract before signing. I also acknowledge that I have read and understood the Barn Rules and the Waiver.
