Personal Approach/Pedagogy

1) Horses should be treated with respect and responsibility for their welfare. With consistent insistence on correctness, kindness and the understanding that our activities are based on a partnership between horse and human athlete. What motivates a horse or pony to listen to our signals is not our physical strength, but our finesse! Think patterns, consistency, communication, fairness, and recognition.

2) What motivates each student/volunteer to learn and create is how they want to do so. Thus, all lessons and project assignments are intended to include fun, and customized to meet customer preferences, fitness level, age, goals, interests etc.

3) Facilities preferred for lessons and events are safe, friendly, professional and fair with an interest in sustainability, diversity, and education ~ requiring adherence to health and safety, government regulations, and requirements of the other significant industry influences (insurance industry, OEF, EC, Equine Guelph, Pony Club etc.).
