i think spectators should be encouraged to see the secretary or somebody for a stable rules sheet and site map when they attend an event.
the announcer man can suggest it and read us from it through out the day. or, at least they should be posted. if its done well it, it will also act as marketing tool...
it should include the course walking rules. i always find spectators are actually no doubt the worst bunch to allow to meander on course while the competition is on, but they are the ones in and out the most... as a spectator how am i supposed to learn the safety rules and etiquette? surely not by trial and error!

it could even be distributed in advance. afterall, wouldn't we all like to see MORE spectators come, and more media coverage of such an exciting an exciting sport!!!
